Asian corn

Feeds 2 as a side dish

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 - 15 minutes

Ingredients
2 corn on the cob 
½ tsp Shichimi togarashi or ½ tsp chilli powder plus ½ tsp salt 

Sauce Ingredients 
1 tbsp soy sauce 
½ tbsp rice vinegar 
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 
1 tbsp honey 
1 tsp miso paste 
½ tsp Shichimi togarashi or chilli powder 
½ tsp lime powder or finely grated lime zest 

Method
Heat the braai and when your charcoal is white hot and the flames have died down put the sweetcorn on the fire and cook for 5-7 minutes until the corn is cooked, turning from time to time to stop it burning. 

Meanwhile make the sauce by combining everything in a small pan, bringing to the boil and cook for a few minutes. 

Back to the corn. When you are happy that the corn is tender and cooked to your liking, brush the sauce on corn and continue to turn and cook for a couple of mins until nicely charred all over
