I have been reading Bread Ahead by Matthew Jones, there are so many wonderful bakes in his book and many that really remind me of the local bakery from childhood.  The breads, the bakes - just fantastic.  Next week at the day job in support of the PSPA we have a cake sale and I am pondering what to make, I am thinking the cinnamon buns will be popular but not sure what else.  I did also think about the chelsea buns - again from childhood - but really think these things date me!
