Rhona today decided to make these gorgeous meat pies from Andy Allen’s book.  You basically make a beef stew and then put it into the pie - in theory you could use leftover stew to make the pies but we did the whole thing from scratch.  It takes several hours to cook down but the actual hands on time is not actually very long.  The pies were absolutely divine, honestly I would happily have paid a lot of money for these little pies.

The recipe worked perfectly and we didn’t add anything apart from a tiny bit of sugar to counteract the wine.  Next time however we would cut the meat a little smaller and ensure we had more gravy in the pies.  Definitely one to tweak and make again and again and again.
