When I was a teenager my mother really got into pasta bakes, especially tuna pasta bakes. She loved them and would make one very often. I used to make and eat pasta much more than I do now but pasta really is oh so comforting. What I love the most about pasta bakes in particular is the gorgeous cheesy top and the slightly crunchy bits at the edges.
Tonight we made a tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake and oh my word it was good. Comforting, delicious and one of those dishes that just makes you want to eat until you burst. Which essentially is just what we did. Served with home made garlic bread it was a perfect meal. Add a little bit of nostalgia and what a dish.
