Easy dry rub ribs
Ingredients
1kg of pork or beef short ribs
½ tsp garlic granules
1 tsp onion granules
¼ tsp course black pepper
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp oregano
¼ tsp celery salt
1 tsp ancho chilli powder
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp chipotle chilli flakes
2 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp ground ginger
1 tsp salt
1 x 330ml can of coke
Method
Put the ribs into an oven dish. Mix the herbs and spices and rub over the ribs and leave for an hour.
Preheat the oven to 160c. Cover the ribs with foil and put into the oven for 3 hours if using beef, 2 hours if using pork.
After the ribs have finished roasting, pour the coke into the the bottom of the pan, remove the foil and cook for a further half an hour.
When the ribs are finished cooking, pour the coke into a saucepan and boil down until sticky. Pour over the ribs if you like or serve on the side for dipping.
