Mummy sausage rolls
Ingredients
12 sausages, I use thin pork but any will work, including vegetarian
1 sheet of ready rolled all butter puff pastry
1 tbsp Spice Seasoning, I use steers but any seasoning will also work
1 tsp sugar
Edible black pen
Method
Preheat the oven to 180c.
Mix the sugar and spices together and put to one side.
Take the pastry and with a sharp knife, cut into strips (bandages). While the pastry strips are still together, sprinkle the spice mix over. Now, pull one strip away but don’t lift, you don’t want the spice mix falling off. Put the top of sausage on the pastry and roll so the bandages wrap around the mummy. Push the top up to leave space for the eyes.
Put the mummies on to a lined baking tray and cook for 25 minutes or until golden.
When your mummies are cooked, put eyes on your mummy.
