Finally the sun was shining and we were able to dust off the Kamado Joe, break out the table, chairs and umbrella and enjoy being outside. We have been working on a chorizo, chilli and tomato mussel potjie and a final road test today and it is ready. There was just enough back heat and spice, the chorizo was soft and the mussels plump and juicy. Served very simply with warm bread, it was a fantastic finger licking great meal.
