If you ever want any super easy little canapes or morsels for when you are having a drink with friends then mussel canapes are the way to go.  They sound a bit strange but they are absolutely delicious.  Anybody I have ever served them to (even if they were at first reserved or unsure), love them.  Take the little ritz biscuits (either the rectangle or the small round ones) and put cream cheese on.  Top with a smoked mussel then dress with freshly ground black pepper and a drizzle of lemon.  Perfect simple, moreish delights in under 5 mins.
