I am sure you all know that I am not much of a camper.  In fact it would be true to say I never camp - ever and haven’t since Victoria was in year 6 (and some 15 years before that was the time before).  However, our South African family are campers and today Thea booked a beautiful spot on the Vaal River.  We had a fire, a wonderful braai and sat around chatting with me sitting gazing up at the stars.  With no light pollution the stars were stunning.  You could see the stars and planets and the gases and galaxies so clearly.  This is a memory firmly etched in my memory forever.
