The book of the month this month is actually a throwback month for all of the Great British Chefs cookbooks.  I am pleased on the one hand - I didn’t get to cook too much from these books so I am excited to use them again.  On the other hand, I really do like getting a new book each month which is always something new to learn.  Still, I know I will pick up loads from these.  Tonight we made the Sweetcorn burgers from Kitchen Twists.  I do love a vegetarian night and love sweetcorn fritters.  I have to be honest, before we started I was not 100% sure on the various tastes going on but we went with it and I am so glad we did.  The candied jalapeños on their own were a bit odd but in this burger oh my word they worked a treat.  This is one of those recipes that will most definitely be repeated.
