Today we christened our Kamado Joe by cooking a whole chicken on it. It was crispy, succulent and cooked perfectly. We have used a big green egg before so know how good they are but to test different things and get such a good result was great. It works very similarly to the oven and so we essentially kept the temperature at 180/200c for the 1½ hours cooking time. I made a quick Caesar dressing and salad and it was so so good. When food is great simple works perfectly.
