It is freezing today and snow is forecast for tomorrow.  Even though I am sitting in a central heated house, the house is also quite chilly and so I thought something warming would be perfect. Looking through our recipes we were trying to decide exactly what to cook and saw a photo of chilli and instantly knew that is what we needed. I love the warming spicy hit and the deep rich flavours (as well as all of the sides) which always make this meal a winner.  We made beef but it is just as good meat free. Also, for a change today we made a jalapeno and cheese cornbread which really was so delicious.  It was light and flavoursome and really just so good. I am already looking forward to lunch tomorrow, paired with soup it will be a real winter warmer.
