I have been flicking through Irini Tzortzoglou's cookbook, Under the Olive Tree after one of the cookbook club members cooked her steak with shallots and potatoes. The steak looks lovely but as the sun is shining, we wanted to cook this outside on the Braai (of course!). So I took her steak recipe and paired it with a Greek salad and Rich Harris's Fire & Smoke. It went so well together and the spices on the steak were not what I would usually use on steak but they worked perfectly. It was such a lovely evening and it is nice to see the sun shining.
