Today we went to Hutong. It was the first time we have been out for 8 months so it was lovely to get out, I love Chinese foods, I love Hutong, I love restaurants with a view, I love London and I love Tower Bridge. It was a lovely evening and the food was just divine.
I had something so gorgeous and so unexpectedly good I am now spending time playing with recipe ideas and waiting for next weekend so I can get testing. They were these gorgeous steamed and fried bao buns - of which I am sure I have ideas for in Jeremy Pang’s book - which were filled with a gorgeous prawn, ginger and spring onion mix. We also had these beef mille feuille which were so delicately spiced, so light and crispy and buttery and divine. I am a sucker for puff pastry anyway but these were so light. I hope I can recreate them. Watch this space.
